Speaking high on promotions but compromising on the values? Well, you are just being martyrs at the drop of the hat. Step an extra bit to leave a lasting impact. You ask how? Here’s what you can follow:

Design communicates brand voice

If you are expecting customers to march to the beat of your drums, your campaigns to raise brands’ profile should scream value. Trust, is a very important element that draws the customers your way. They easily for impressions about the brands, as in, which brand offers luxury – which brand offers quality, so on and so forth. This, to a great extend, is favored by the promotional creatives you preach through marketing collaterals, like blog posts, brochures, banners, e-mailers, e-books, infographics, white papers, videos, animations, etc. However, all the efforts prove complete waste if the designs of these marketing materials are any less attractive and don’t quite match with the brand voice. It can just take down years of professionalism and good-will of the brand.

The design gets you noticed in a snap

A marketing element, stuffed with texts, makes for a sad campaign. No one pays heed to such promotions. Stand upright, winning over all other competitors, with a siren creating campaign with catchy and compelling content. The design, whether flashy or stark, minimalistic or loud, must be done keeping the target crowd in mind. All said and done, visually appealing designs won’t only get your campaigns noticed, but also leave positive impacts among the viewers.

Design boosts conversion in no time

You never know where the onlookers’ eye would fall! Hence, to a considerable extent, it depends on the focus areas or highlights of your design that can draw unimaginable traffic and directly impact conversion. Layout, color, pitch, text, concept, photography – anything can be important takeaway!

The design proves mightier than words

You need not always use words to convey a message. A well-done design can do the job. Surprised? Well, there’s more to it. The power of a design can be so much so that the message it communicates, may seek a response too. A few wisely chosen images can sometimes take the place of a hundred words on any issue.

Creative designs go a long way to earn credibility in favor of marketing campaigns. No wonder, in present time design studios see a lot of talents flocking in to create magic with their works. Well, they aren’t just artists, graphic designers, art directors or freelancers who are experts in their respective skills, they are exceptionally imaginative and super intellectuals as well! If you are a marketer, get hold of one of those creative agencies who work on hire basis and get your business rolling. Walk the said way and have clients swinging in.

Creating a great logo is not easy. It can be very tough if you’re new to logo design or design in general. Your business deserves a great logo and I’d like to work with you if you’re having trouble.

I’ve worked with over 1,200 clients. Order your logo today and let’s get started!

Most of the clients ask me what is the process I follow for creating a great logo. I would think to write a blog instead of writing each time separate emails for each client. Hope this helps the clients/designers to understand how I begin the work.

Kick Off The Project:

Before I discuss with the client, I start exploring about the company, competitors, online presence and social media presence. I just do a little background research before starting a formal discussion with the client.

Gathering Information:

When I start to begin the work, my first step to sending a questionnaire to the clients. I ask everything about the project which helps me to understand what is the product, why they need a new logo, what purpose they would like to solve, customer geography, age group, company profile etc. It’s important to always know the specifics of what you or the client is looking for before you start. Generally, for most projects, I only need to ask the client 5 questions:

Name of the service/product

Any slogans to use?

Any specific colors schemes in mind?

What are you trying to convey through the logo?

Any other specifics?

I called it “Creative Brief”. Pretty straight forward, now I know what I have to work with.

Below is the real brief from one of the logo projects I’ve worked.

Brainstorming:

Normally other designers start working directly on the computer but I start with my pencil. I scribble each and every possible idea which can solve the client’s purpose. Here are few examples of sketches I normally do in each project.

Getting Approval on logo ideas:

Client review the idea I present and they choose any of the ideas they like. Or they can suggest other ideas if necessary or ask to combine two ideas into one. Once I get approval on the idea, I move forward to the next step – Converting Scalable design.

Scalable Designs:

I always come with more than one design options. So the client would have more opportunity to select the right one. Even they already chose one, I come up with more options to help them to take the right decision.

They have selected option 2 with few modifications. Like they wanted me to angle it 360 degrees. So it would look like the small letter “b”.

Experiment with Font Selections:

Once the client saw above options they have chosen the second option. As the logo symbol is finalized, I start experimenting with the font selections. After few hours of work, I finalized this:

and they just loved that. Let me know if you like the process and would like me to create a logo design for your brand. The fee is reasonable and it starts from $200 only.

Looking for a design partner to uplift the face of your business? Well, selecting a like mind could be knotty and the process could be rocky. It takes real tricks to see through the skills and assess the worth of a designer. The more the designer speaks high about himself, the more he builds up the mystery. The following tips will help you select the right designer, if not hit the bull’s eye.

1. Hire professional designers instead of an artist

In most cases, if you have a business goal to accomplish, it’s worth hiring a designer, who would understand the same. Goals are set when you start a business or want to spread your established business to compete in the market. In such cases, you ought to have a designing partner to promote your business through marketing campaigns and fetch manifold results. A good designer will suggest you landscapes that are in sync with your business requirements and will reflect to you.

A good and professional designer will never give up till you understand and are comfortable with his craft. This urge boosts a healthy communication between the designer and the client.

2. Don’t be judgemental while checking the portfolio

While hiring a designer, you would obviously want to look at his portfolio to have an idea about his skill from some of his previous works. You may also be curious about the clientele he has worked with. If you look at the portfolio with the intention that some of his work might reflect your requirement, you might return disappointed. Remember, the designer has worked considering the budget, requirement and constraints of a different client, which is not likely to match yours. Hence, don’t be judgmental. Instead try to assess the quality of his work and whether he is fit to be hired.

3. Make the right selection

While being seated on the other side of the interview table, you’ll most likely come across two genres of candidates. One, who wouldn’t stop talking big about his prior achievements and the other who would patiently listen to your requirements and then accordingly relate himself with the same. It is wise to hire the second candidate. An inquisitive mind that’s keen to know about your business goals, target audience, workflow etc. makes for the apt candidate.

Somebody who has come with the intention of selling himself and not serving your interests may not be the right choice.

4. Discuss your budget and constraints

Discussing financial transactions could be tricky sometimes. Well, a professional designer can get a work done for both $200 and $2000. But, churning out the best value and quality out of the designer within the stipulated budget is your job. The budget could be one of those genuine constraints in your business but how you play with it, is the real show!

5. Make sure your designer is there to stay

While it is good to look for a talented professional, it is equally important to be able to become very familiar with him as an individual. The size of your project and its complexity may demand you to spend hours together with your designer. In such situations, it becomes obvious that there’s an easy flow of communication and comfort zone between the two. No wonder there’ll be moments of frustration and pain, clarity and joy, but that should not mar the work relations and ethics. Make sure your designer isn’t among them who would just run away at the slightest point of disagreement. Nothing could be more frustrating than a designer abandoning the project smack in the middle.

6. Your designer shouldn’t be afraid of placing his opinion

Most candidates look very promising and opinionated at the interview table. They speak so high and big about themselves that you end up growing lofty expectations about them. But all these seem to subside down the line when they hit the projects. Most of them turn out to be namby-pamby and nod their head in agreement to your whims and wishes, just because they are afraid to argue. Remember, a designer has been hired to provide new convincing solutions and ideas and not work on the path previously set by you. No matter even if you get crossed, the designer shouldn’t hold himself from coming up with his opinions at the interest of your goals.

7. Designing isn’t a forced investment

Don’t drag yourself to hire a designer, if at the back of your mind you believe that designing is nothing less than a luxury and not crucial for your business at all. It is very important to understand that designing is a conceptual part of the business process itself. It can lead to profit making and that is when the investment that you’re making behind a designer would be worth every penny. Hence, while hiring a design partner, just try to foresee the manifold return, you’re going to get tomorrow, out of the money that you’re spending on him today!
